Polar Tundra (Ordinary) Instance

Basic Information

Requirement:
- Profession Level: 125+
- Bare-handed Fighting Level: 120
- Team with at least two players

Number of entries each day:
- 2 times

Difficulty:
 - ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆

Location:
- Afro-Asian High sea scene > North Island [-1367.7, -1266.5] > Polar Tundra (Ordinary) [-29.8, -177.7]

Introduction

Polar Tundra (Ordinary) instance is located on North Island. Entrance to this instance can be found at the coordinates [-29.8, -177.7] or by using auto track function.
In order to enter the instance, player needs to meet the requirements listed above.
Instance is considered to be Middle Level Instance which means players need at least 120 profession set to survive. There are a number of different tactics used to survive this instance, they will be explained in details later. Players can enter the instance only two times each day.

Instance layout

Polar Tundra (Ordinary) instance is divided on two floors. First floor is called Polar Tundra (Ordinary) while second floor is called Yiglu Cave (Ordinary). At the beginning of the instance, second floor is closed. In order to open the entrance to second floor, players need to kill the King of Ice boss on the first floor. After the boss dies, a message will popup saying the entrance to level 2 has been opened.

Recommended stats, equipment, items

Minimal Damage Reduction required for this instance is 80 and minimal Defense required is 2000. Of course it is possible to tank with less, but it requires many AB heals which is not very practical.
Another so called requirement is the damage one. Players need to do decent amount of damage to these bosses in order to kill them successfully. Otherwise the bosses will go into rage mode and they will kill everyone on sight. This obviously depends on the teams configuration, players professions, players stats, weapons, buffs etc... Because of that there are no recommended minimal damage stats required to kill these bosses.

Every player should have at least level is 120 profession set. Again its doable in lower level equipment, but takes too much time and heals to be considered profitable.

All of the monsters in instance have poisoned weapons. Poison from normal monsters is not very strong, but its very annoying. Poison from bosses is very strong. Its highly recommended to have plenty of Guardian Light's which will make the player immune to poison effects.
Another very important item every player should have is Holy Medicine. Every boss is using some kind of debuffs. Unfortunately due to unknown bug, the Freezing Helmet, immune to debuffs skill effect will not work, as well as Armed Businessman's profession skill called Disclosure. Because of those bugs, those two skills are basically useless. The only thing which can remove the debuffs is Holy Medicine. For some odd reason, not even Holy Medicine works on all debuffs. Without Holy Medicine, it is very hard to complete the instance.

Drop

Table below contains the list of all possible items that can be dropped inside of the instance by any monster. Every normal monster has an equal chance of dropping those items. For BOSS monsters that chance is increased. Monster specific drop like Imperial Gold, Vellum Book etc. is not listed here. Those items are listed below in the monster section.

King of Ice (BOSS)

King of Ice is the one and only boss on level 1. He is located on the far west of the instance, on the beach.

The key to defeating this boss is high damage and attacking speed. If he's not killed on time, he will use his skill called Stun and fully recover his HP. This happens after 3 minutes. While recovering HP the King of Ice won't attack or use any of his skills. Recovering lasts 30 seconds.
During the fight King of Ice will spawn three Child of Ice every 10 seconds. They are weak but they have a nasty skill called Freeze. The debuff will reduce players maximum HP by 1000. The player will receive the debuff every time a Child of Ice performs a successful hit. Debuff is stackable. This means the player will lose 3000 maximum HP every second (1000 from each Child). Only way to get rid of the debuff is by using Holy Medicines. He will also cast Frost Shock every 60 seconds.

When a player successfully kills the King of Ice boss on level 1 called Polar Tundra (Ordinary) the door to level 2 called Yiglu Cave (Ordinary) will open.
Level 2 is filled with Vampires. Vampires have a very long acquisition range so players should be very careful while pulling them, because they can easily come in groups of 3 to 4. They don't have any special skills except poison.

Lushence (BOSS)

Lushence is the one of the two bosses on level 2.

Lushence is always surrounded by 3 mini bosses. They are generated randomly for each run. Only 3 out of 5 in the table below will spawn. All 4 of them (Lushence and 3 minibosses) will attack at the same time. That means the player needs to tank all 4 of them simultaneously. High damage reduction is required. 100+ DR with AB heals.
The key to defeating Lushence is killing the mini bosses in the right order.
Fenriel - Group Debuffer
 - Fenriel is not very strong, but it has a nasty debuff called Wolf's Nightmare. He will cast it once every 10 seconds in the area around him. All players will be affected. The debuff will reduce players HP by 200 every second. The debuff is NOT stackable since version 0.100, which makes it easier... The only way to remove the debuff is by using Holy Medicine. If there's no Greenton in the party, then Fenriel needs to be killed first, otherwise, Greenton needs to be killed first.
Greenton - Group Healer
 - Greenton is group healer, which means he will heal himself and everyone around him. Greenton will cast Darkness Prayer spell every 10 seconds. The spell recovers the HP of the user during period of 10 seconds. There's no way to stop him from casting the spell. Prior restriction will NOT work. Greenton needs to be killed first!
Zebyark - Damage Dealer
 - Zebyark is a damage dealer, which means he has a very high attack. His defense and HP is very low so he dies easily, usually from Tornado Slash if there are couple of Caribbean Pirates present in the team. Zebyark doesn't have any spells. He should be killed right after Greenton and Fenriel.
Shorn - Damage Dealer
 - Shorn is a damage dealer, which means he has a very high attack. His defense and HP is very low so he dies easily, usually from Tornado Slash if there are couple of Caribbean Pirates present in the team. Shorn doesn't have any spells. He should be killed right after Greenton and Fenriel.
Canade - Tank
 - Canade is a tank, which means he has a very high defense and HP. Canade doesn't have any spells. He doesn't hit hard, so he should be killed last.

After killing the mini bosses, naturally, Lushence comes next.
During the fight, Lushence will use Ferocious Laceration debuff. Only the player who tanks will be affected. Debuff reduces the players Defense by 1000, dodge by 200 and damage reduction by 50. It lasts 10 seconds. Its stackable but he wont cast it that often. He will cast it once every 30 seconds. It can't be removed with Holy Medicine so its best to use defensive skills once he casts it.
After Lushence HP drops to 10%, he will use a skill called Moon Mutation. He will spawn 3 Female Vampires around him. The Vampires will start walking towards Lushence. Vampires will not attack anyone. If the Vampires reach Lushence, his Moon Mutation skill will start and he will kill anyone on sight. On other hand, if Lushence dies before Vampires manage to reach him, the Vampires will disappear and players will be able to loot Lushence. Best strategy to achieve this is to save all of the attacking skills until his HP drops to 10%.
Note: If players manage to kill the mini bosses, but fail to kill Lushence, all 3 mini bosses will respawn again.

Vircra (BOSS)

Vircra is the last and strongest boss in the instance.
Vircra is a very tricky boss to kill. Mainly because he appears and disappears during the fight. He will disappear three times. Every time he disappears three minibosses will spawn. In order to make him spawn back again, players need to kill all three minibosses.
He will disappear and spawn the minibosses usually when his HP drops down to around 70%, 40% and 10%.

The key to defeating Vircra is killing the mini bosses in the right order.
Camira - Group Healer
 - Camira is a group healer, which means she will heal herself and everyone around her. Camira will cast Darkness Prayer spell every 10 seconds. The spell recovers the HP of the user during period of 10 seconds. There's no way to stop her from casting the spell. Prior restriction will NOT work. Camira needs to be killed first!
Derais Baron - Group Debuffer
 - Derais Baron is not very strong, but it has a nasty debuff called Wolf's Nightmare. He will cast it once every 10 seconds in the area around him. All players will be affected. The debuff will reduce players HP by 200 every second. The debuff is NOT stackable since version 0.100, which makes it easier... The only way to remove the debuff is by using Holy Medicine. He needs to be killed second.
Lusfan Knight - Damage Dealer
 - Lusfan Knight is a damage dealer, which means he has a very high attack. His defense and HP is very low so he dies easily. Lusfan Knight doesn't have any spells. He should be killed last.

During the fight, Vircra will use Wolf's Nightmare debuff. He will cast it once every 15 seconds in the area around him. All players will be affected. The debuff will reduce players HP by 200 every second. The debuff is NOT stackable since version 0.100, which makes it easier... The only way to remove the debuff is by using Holy Medicine. He will also use a debuff called Evil Kiss. It reduces the players maximum HP by 10000 and maximum SP by 5000. It lasts 10 seconds. Its not stackable and it can't be removed with Holy Medicine. Only the player who tanks will be affected. This is a good way to recover SP quickly. Like other bosses in this instance, Vircra has a time limit. He will use his skill called Blood Mutation and he will kill everyone on sight. This happens after 5 minutes. If he doesn't die before that, he will kill everyone near him in few hits.

Treasure Chests

After successfully killing Vircra, 3 chests will spawn in the area behind him.
They require various keys to be opened. Those keys are dropped all over the instance. Every monster has a chance of dropping one. They all have existence time and they will disappear after certain amount of time.
The rewards from treasure chests are the same as the ones from the monster drop table above with an exception of Imperial Gold.
Note: While opening Treasure Chests there's a chance of failing. If the player fails to open the chest, the key will be destroyed. Do not try to use other keys from other instances as they will get destroyed.

Elite King of Ice (BOSS)

Elite King of Ice is the one and only boss on level 1. He is located on the far west of the instance, on the beach.

The key to defeating this boss is high damage and attacking speed. If he's not killed on time, he will use his skill called Stun and fully recover his HP. This happens after 3 minutes. While recovering HP the Elite King of Ice won't attack or use any of his skills. Recovering lasts 30 seconds.
During the fight Elite King of Ice will spawn three Elite Child of Ice every 10 seconds. They are weak but they have a nasty skill called Freeze. The debuff will reduce players maximum HP by 1000. The player will receive the debuff every time a Elite Child of Ice performs a successful hit. Debuff is stackable. This means the player will lose 3000 maximum HP every second (1000 from each Child). Only way to get rid of the debuff is by using Holy Medicines. He will also cast Frost Shock every 60 seconds.

[Level 2] Yiglu Cave (Elite)

When a player successfully kills the Elite King of Ice boss on level 1 called Polar Tundra (Elite), the door to level 2 called Yiglu Cave (Elite) will open.
Level 2 is filled with Vampires. Vampires have a very long acquisition range so players should be very careful while pulling them, because they can easily come in groups of 3 to 4. They don't have any special skills except poison.

Elite Lushence (BOSS)

Elite Lushence is the one of the two bosses on level 2.

Elite Lushence is always surrounded by 3 mini bosses. They are generated randomly for each run. Only 3 out of 5 in the table below will spawn. All 4 of them (Elite Lushence and 3 minibosses) will attack at the same time. That means the player needs to tank all 4 of them simultaneously. High damage reduction is required. 120+ DR with AB heals.
The key to defeating Elite Lushence is killing the mini bosses in the right order.
Elite Fenriel - Group Debuffer
 - Elite Fenriel is not very strong, but it has a nasty debuff called Wolf's Nightmare. He will cast it once every 10 seconds in the area around him. All players will be affected. The debuff will reduce players HP by 200 every second. The debuff is NOT stackable since version 0.100, which makes it easier... The only way to remove the debuff is by using Holy Medicine. If there's no Elite Greenton in the party, then Elite Fenriel needs to be killed first, otherwise, Elite Greenton needs to be killed first.
Elite Greenton - Group Healer
 - Elite Greenton is a group healer, which means he will heal himself and everyone around him. Elite Greenton will cast Darkness Prayer spell every 10 seconds. The spell recovers the HP of the user during period of 10 seconds. There's no way to stop him from casting the spell. Prior restriction will NOT work. Elite Greenton needs to be killed first!
Elite Zebyark - Damage Dealer
 - Elite Zebyark is a damage dealer, which means he has very high attack. His defense and HP is very low so he dies easily, usually from Tornado Slash if there are couple of Caribbean Pirates present in the team. Elite Zebyark doesn't have any spells. He should be killed right after Elite Greenton and Elite Fenriel.
Elite Shom - Damage Dealer
 - Elite Shom is a damage dealer, which means he has very high attack. His defense and HP is very low so he dies easily, usually from Tornado Slash if there are couple of Caribbean Pirates present in the team. Elite Shom doesn't have any spells. He should be killed right after Elite Greenton and Elite Fenriel.
Elite Canade - Tank
 - Elite Canade is a tank, which means he has very high defense and HP. Elite Canade doesn't have any spells. He doesn't hit hard, so he should be killed last.

After killing the mini bosses, naturally, Elite Lushence comes next.
During the fight, Elite Lushence will use Ferocious Laceration debuff.
After Elite Lushence HP drops to 10%, he will use a skill called Moon Mutation. He will spawn 3 Female Vampires around him. The Vampires will start walking towards Elite Lushence. Vampires will not attack anyone. If the Vampires reach Elite Lushence, his Moon Mutation skill will start and he will kill anyone on sight. On other hand, if Elite Lushence dies before Vampires manage to reach him, the Vampires will disappear and players will be able to loot Elite Lushence. Best strategy to achieve this is to save all of the attacking skills until his HP drops to 10%.
Note: If players manage to kill the mini bosses, but fail to kill Elite Lushence, all 3 mini bosses will respawn.

Elite Vircra (BOSS)

Elite Vircra is the last and strongest boss in instance.
Elite Vircra is very tricky boss to kill.

The key to defeating Elite Vircra is killing the mini bosses in the right order.
Elite Camira - Group Healer
 - Elite Camira is a group healer, which means she will heal herself and everyone around her. Elite Camira will cast Darkness Prayer spell every 10 seconds. The spell recovers the HP of the user during period of 10 seconds. There's no way to stop her from casting the spell. Prior restriction will NOT work. Camira needs to be killed first!

Elite Lusfan Knight - Damage Dealer
 - Elite Lusfan Knight is a damage dealer, which means he has very high attack. His defense and HP is very low so he dies easily. Elite Lusfan Knight doesn't have any spells. He should be killed last.

During the fight, Elite Vircra will use Wolf's Nightmare debuff. Only the player who tanks will be affected. Like other bosses in this instance, Elite Vircra has a time limit. He will use his skill called Blood Mutation and he will kill everyone on sight. This happens after 5 minutes. If he doesn't die before that, he will kill everyone near him in few hits.

Treasure Chests

After successfully killing Elite Vircra, 3 chests will spawn in the area behind him.
They require various keys to be opened. The keys are dropped inside of the instance from all monsters. They all have existence time and they will disappear after certain amount of time.
The rewards from treasure chests are same as the ones from the monster drop table above with an exception of Imperial Gold and Crystal materials.
Note: While opening Treasure Chests there's a chance of it failing. If the opening fails, the key will be destroyed.
