1st PS. I know there are many guides about guild tasks and about guild on this forum... I'm tired of answer every time members ask me "how can they do guild task(s)?" So today I make this guide to help our member (SeaGuardians) to understand and able to do guild tasks in the future. If you like to use this guide for your guild members, you are more then welcome, if you don't like it don't take it too personal.

2nd PS. the following reply is the detail of each NPC in guild hall. What they do and how to do it.

Guild Task Basic Introduction and How To Get To Guild Hall, And Guild Hall NPC Location

Basic Question: What are guild tasks?

To level a guild you need to do guild tasks which require you to submit materials like Timber, Metal (compounded mats), Plants, Cloth, Trader goods, Cannons, shields etc. inside the Guild Headquarters.  You can submit the items to 2 different NPC's

Guild tasks are given by NPC in the guild hall.
There are 2 types of guild tasks:
1. Commercialization Guild Tasks From NPC: Commercial Minister. (Give Business Degree)
2. Industrialization Guild Task From NPC: Industry Minister. (Give Industrialization Degree)

Basic Question: How do I get into the guild hall?

To get into the guild hall you need to talk with Guild Manager

Enter the Guild Hall via the Guild manager in any city (Free ports do not have guild managers)
choose "Guild Functions" > "Join the headquarter of guild"

There are  5 or 6 different styles of guild hall (on the outside)... but they all are the same on the inside.

Enter the building at the end of the walkway and go to the back of the building.

Guild Hall NPC Location:
*Note*  There are now more NPC's in the Guild hall but this guide talks of only the NPC's shown
For more information on the NPC's not shown in the picture below read the guide;
Guild Quests leading to Parlo Instance - http://forum.vc.igg.com/viewthread.php?tid=52911

To level the guild and earn your character "guild contribution points": turn in items at either the "Commercial Minister " or the Industrial Minister.

Industry points are needed to level the Military of your Guild which give benefits for Guild Wars
Commercial points affect the level of the guild.
Guild contributions points are used at the Guild Caretaker. (see below)

To exit the scene you can not leave through the door.  You must talk to the Guild Caretaker and select "back to town".

PAY ATTENTION!!!
Both Ministers will NOT accept any items that were collected BEFORE accepting the guild task!  Exception: Cannon Collection.

Big Hint:Compound the materials under task mode.  That means, when you do Timber , Metal,  shipbuilding, weapon, uniform etc tasks; put ores and logs on your ship and character > accept the task > compound the exact quantity of materials needed > give to minister (overages can not be used for future tasks).

The higher the level of the items you submit the more points you get with one submitting.
level 1 items give: 50 points
level 2 items give: 100 points
level 3 items give: 150 points
level 4 items give: 200 points
level 5 items give: 250 points
level 6 items give: 300 points
level 7 items give: 350 points
level 8 items give: 400 points
level 9 items give: 450 points
level 10 items give: 500 points

NPC Commercial Minister Guide

Commercial Minister
This NPC gives Commercialization Guild Tasks which give you business degree point(s) when you complete each task.

PS. The higher your guild business point... the higher guild level you can get.

Guild Level is Based On Business Points:
Lvl 01 Guild = 0 Business Points
Lvl 02 Guild = 500 Business Points
Lvl 03 Guild = 1,500 Business Points
Lvl 04 Guild = 4,000 Business Points
Lvl 05 Guild = 9,000 Business Points

Completing Commercial tasks is not difficult.  Click on Commercialization construction to start a task...

Then pick one of the following options:

1. Goods Collection
This is the goods that you will buy from NPC: Trader
Lvl 01 Goods Task = 1 Business Points
Lvl 02 Goods Task = 2 Business Points
And keep go on......

PS. If you buy the goods before taking the task... IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You always need to take the task, go buy the goods then turn them in.

Tip: From level 1 to 4 good... get to the city that carry most of the level 4 goods, then keep click on the level 4 goods task (if it not the goods you looking for... just close the window then start again) until the task as for the goods that city carry. then accept it. Continue to do it over and over.

2. Timber Collection
For this task, you need the Timber-Felling Skill... collect the log and compound timber then turn in.
Lvl 01 Timber Task = 1 Business Points
Lvl 02 Timber Task = 2 Business Points
And keep go on......

PS. If you make the timber before taking the task... IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You always need to take the task, go make the timber then turn it in.

Tip: Carry Logs on your ship and character (leave about 3 units of weight on your character free).
Then you can compound the logs into timber while in the guild hall.
Be careful, do not make extra timber because you can not use it for any later tasks.

3. Metal Collection
For this task, you need the Mining Skill... collect the Ores and make metal (iron) then turn in.
Lvl 01 Metal Task = 1 Business Points
Lvl 02 Metal Task = 2 Business Points
And keep go on......

PS. If you make the Metal before taking the task... IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You always need to take the task, go compound the metal then turn it in.

Tip: Carry Ore on your ship and character (leave about 3 units of weight free on your character).
Compound the ore into metal while in the guild hall.
Be careful do not make extra metal because you can not use it for future tasks.

4. Material Collection (Plants)

Lvl 01 Material Task = 1 Business Points
Lvl 02 Material Task = 2 Business Points
And keep go on......

PS. If you pick up the plants before taking the task... IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You can plant the seeds down, and go to guild hall to take the task, then go back collect the plants and turn it in.

Tip: You can go to guild hall and take the task, after that go to the Sub. and plant up to 200 seeds. After you planted the 200th seed, come back to the first seed, you can pick it up now and go turn it in... keep do this step over and over. (easy way to do is pick up both the seed on the plant... Watch your time. your plants can be harvested by anyone after 40 minutes. Again be careful to only harvest the number of plants you need for the task.  You can not use pre-harvested plants for future tasks.

How To Get 10 Points of Business Degree In 1 Week?

All of the task is easy if you following the task's tip i posted.

NPC Industry Minister Guide

Industry Minister
This NPC gives Industrialization Guild Tasks which give you the amount of industrialization degree point(s) when you finish each task.

The industrialization degree is used to upgrade your guild's military... the higher military points (level) you have the stronger your guild is.

Completing his tasks is not difficult; Click on industrialization construction after you talk to him.

1. Arms (Weapon) Collection
For this task, you need the Foundry Skill or can buy weapons at the blacksmith
Take the task then compound or purchase the weapons.
Lvl 01 Weapon Task = 50 Industry Points
Lvl 02 Weapon Task = 100 Industry Points
Lvl 03 Weapon Task = 150 Industry Points
etc......

PS. If you make or buy the weapons before taking the task... IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You always need to take the task, then make the timber and turn it in.

Tip: Carry timber and metal on your ship and have your character nearly empty. and have a hammer ready.  Make the weapons in batches if you can not carry all of them. Make them in the guild hall so rival guilds can not attack while you are under task.
Be careful, do not make extra weapons because you can not use them for any later tasks.

2. Armour Collection
For this task, you need the Sewing Skill or can buy Armor (Armour) at the blacksmith
Take the task then compound or purchase the weapons.
Lvl 01 Armour Task = 50 Industry Points
Lvl 02 Armour Task = 100 Industry Points
Lvl 03 Armour Task = 150 Industry Points
etc......

PS. If you make or buy the armor before taking the task... IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You always need to take the task, then make  or buy the armor and turn it in.

Tip: Carry cloth and other needed items on your ship and have your character nearly empty. Have a sewing kit ready.  Make the armor in batches if you can not carry all of them. Make them in the guild hall so rival guilds can not attack while you are under task.
Be careful, do not make extra armor because you can not use them for any later tasks.

3. Cannon (Artillery) Collection
For this task, you need the Foundry Skill or can buy cannon at the shipyard boss
Take the task then compound or purchase the cannon.
Lvl 01 Artillery Task = 50 Industry Points
Lvl 02 Artillery Task = 100 Industry Points
Lvl 03 Artillery Task = 150 Industry Points
etc......

This is the ONLY task you can collect items (cannon) ahead of time.  You can accept the task AFTER you have collected cannon or before. But I suggest taking it after so you are not tasked in a pvp sea battle area.

Tip:It is probably not cost effective to compound your own cannon for industry points.  Collect cannon in battlefields for free and turn them in.  If you are wanting to raise your foundry skill, I suggest making old style non noble weapons, cannons take too many materials.
Extra cannon are accepted in future tasks!

4.  Figurehead (Ship Heading) Collection
For this task, you need the Ship building skill or can pick up figure heads as drops in battlefields.
Take the task then compound or purchase the figureheads.
Lvl 01 Ship Heading Task = 50 Industry Points
Lvl 02 Ship Heading Task = 100 Industry Points
Lvl 03 Ship Heading Task = 150 Industry Points
etc......

PS. If you make or farm the Figureheads before taking the task... IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You always need to take the task, then collect/compound the figureheads and turn them in.

Tip: Carry timber and metal on your ship and have your character nearly empty. and have a hammer ready.  Make the figureheads in batches if you can not carry all of them. Make them in the guild hall so rival guilds can not attack while you are under task.
Be careful, do not make extra figureheads because you can not use them for any later tasks.
If you are leveling Ship building make an item that does not require cold iron and eagle wood for cost effectiveness

5. Ship Armor (Armour) Collection [Ship Shields]
For this task, you need the Ship Building Skill or can buy Ship Shields at the Shipyard boss or can pick them up as drops in battle fields.
Take the task then compound or purchase the Shields.
Lvl 01 Ship Armour Task = 50 Industry Points
Lvl 02 Ship Armour Task = 100 Industry Points
Lvl 03 Ship Armour Task = 150 Industry Points
etc......

PS. If you make or farm the Shields before taking the task... IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You always need to take the task, then collect/compound the shields and turn them in.

Tip: Carry timber and metal on your ship and enough ship load empty for one Shield. Have a hammer ready.  Make the Shields in batches if you can not carry all of them. Make them in the guild hall so rival guilds can not attack while you are under task.
Be careful, do not make/collect extra shields because you can not use them for any later tasks.
If you are leveling Ship building make an item that does not require cold iron and eagle wood for cost effectiveness

6. Ship Ram Collection
For this task, you need the Foundry Skill or can buy Ship Rams at the Shipyard boss and may be able to collect them from drifters and battlefields
Take the task then compound or purchase the rams.
Lvl 01 Ship Ram Task = 50 Industry Points
Lvl 02 Ship Ram Task = 100 Industry Points
Lvl 03 Ship Ram Task = 150 Industry Points
etc......

PS. If you make or farm the rams before taking the task... IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You always need to take the task, then collect/compound the rams and turn them in.

Tip: Carry timber and metal on your ship and enough ship load empty for one ram. Have a hammer ready.  Make the Shields in batches if you can not carry all of them. Make them in the guild hall so rival guilds can not attack while you are under task.
Be careful, do not make/collect extra rams because you can not use them for any later tasks.
If you are leveling Ship building make an item that does not require cold iron and eagle wood for cost effectiveness

Guild Caretaker
At this NPC you can donate to the guild fund, withdraw guild salary,...etc.... The following options you will see after you click on him:

1. Draw The Guild Salary
Each member can draw a salary once every 24 hours. The amount of money is based on your rank in guild and your contribution. If you are guild member and have 10,000 contribution points you will get more money then the member that have 0 contribution points. Also if you are officer in guild you are also get more money then the member can get (the higher rank you are... the more money you get.)

2. Use Consortia Function
Use this to compound metal and lumber, renovation ship figurehead, improvement arm and armor. It costs contribution points to use this service as well.  But can be helpful for example: when you are lvl 9 in mining and need level 10 metal.

3. Pay The Guild Construction Fund
This is where you donate money to the guild fund. As member of the guild, you know that if guild fund run out... the guild will automatically disband.  So make sure there is money in the guild fund at all times. (19 Million will last approximately 1 month of daily guild dues) If you donate the silver coins to the guild you will get contribution point. (base on 500 silver coins for 1 contribution point)

4. Exchange Guild Contribution For Item
This is the new service that you can exchange amount of contribution point for items, but you only can do it one time a day, same as guild salary.

When you click on Exchange guild contribution for item. The Guild Caretaker will only offer you 2 items:
- low level Skill exercise brochure (cost 1000 contribution points) X2 exp for 1 Hr. (time of us: 1)

Items include:
10,000 coin
Potions
no stat clothes charm

5. Back To Town
When you go in guild hall... have you not that you can go out the way you came in... crap! I'm stuck. But relax you are doing OK. Just take few step and go to guild caretaker, he will bring you back to the town/city you was before join guild hall.

Other NPC's in the Guild Hall - Added w/ the December 2011 update

.
Non-Repeatable Guild Quests

When you first start a character this task will show at the Guild Officer in the Guild Hall, but can not be repeated:

1) Guild Development Quest Guide (completed)
The task text tells you to join a guild now if you are not already in a guild (silly.. you can not enter guild hall if you are not in a guild) and to talk to the 4 NPCs in the above post and contribute to your guild.
Reward: NONE

Repeatable Guild Quests

These 4 Tasks are given by the Guild Officer in the Guild Hall

You can get 20 Rally Forms per server reset period.
Each time you turn in a task from the Guild Officer you will use 1 rally form.

Even though it says experience amounts depends on your level it apparently does not.
You still get 10 million experience

It is suggested that even if you do not do the tasks each day at least collect your Rally Forms each day, and stack them for future use.  The Agriculture and Industry tasks require collecting skills and are easily turned in in amounts for 10 or 20 tasks at one time (just depends how much load you can put on your ship)

Take / accept all tasks and keep them open, especially the Trader goods task.  That way if you happen to make some popular goods trades accidentally it counts.

Finishing a task will give you a guild medal; click the medal to receive 1 point of Agriculture, Economic, Military or Industrial Experience for your guild.

You can exchange one  Agriculture, Economic, Military or Industrial build Permit + 1 Guild Build permit*** for a Senior  Agriculture, Economic, Military or Industrial Medal at the Guild Exchange NPC in the guild hall.
These Medals, when clicked are worth 25  Agriculture, Economic, Military or Industrial points for your guild.

***Guild Build Permits can be obtained by;

  • Finishing Parlo Instance Successfully
  • Drops in the 150 Instance
  • Opening Temple Treasure Boxes

You have the potential to make 200mil profession exp points and 20 Agriculture, Economic, Military or Industrial points for your guild  from doing these tasks daily.

Store Materials (Agriculture)

Collect 50 Catnip, 50 Sisal, 50 Linen
You can put the plants on your ship and the NPC will take them from your ship hold.
I suggest you turn the task in in bundles or groups 10, 15 or 20 tasks worth.
ie.  have 500, 750, or 1000 of each plant on your ship and turn the task in 10, 15 or 20 times.
Reward; 10,000.000 Profession Experience,  1 Agricultural Guild medal , and 1 Agriculture Build Permit

Industrial Materials (Industiral)
Collect 40 teak (this is un-compounded teak ie Teak Logs), 20 Tin ore and 20 Fine Copper ore.
I suggest you turn this task in in bundles or groups 10, 15 or 20 tasks worth.
ie.  have 400/200/200, 600/300/300, or 800/400/400 of each log and metal on your ship and turn the task in 10, 15 or 20 times.
You can put the logs and metal on your ship and the NPC will take them from your ship hold.
Reward; 10,000.000 Profession Experience, 1 Industrial Guild medal , and 1 Industrial Build Permit

Trading Technique (Economic)
This task is a bit different...
You make trade runs of popular goods between cities and are automatically given "Popularity points" when the trade run is complete.

To find out what goods are popular in a particular city click "promulgate" at the trader and pay attention to the "Popular Items" chat screen.  All "promulgated" cities' goods show there.  The goods stay "Popular" for a real time of 1hour 10 minutes
so keep "promulgating" at the trader to see how much time is left.

20,000 Popular trading points are exchanged for a popular trading bill at the Popularity Points exchange NPC

Each task needs 10 Popular trading bills to complete the task.
Reward; 10,000.000 Profession Experience, 1 Economic Guild medal , and 1 Economic Build Permit

Medal of Honor (Military)
Turn in 10 Medals of Honor
Medals of Honor will drop from Crete Pirates or Snowman in North Island (regular) or Pirates in Stockholm (but very few pirates there so not worth it)
Reward; 10,000.000 Profession Experience, 1 Military Guild medal, and 1 Military Build Permit
