And you have a chance at getting Superior embedding items in the High level Lucky egg: http://vc.igg.com/mall/lucky_egg.php
Items that get Drilled/Embedded
These above items can be mounted/embedded in/on 4 items (see below)
To embed them you first must drill a hole in the receiving item with a ship modifier.
There are 4 items that are drilled with ship modifiers Thalassocrat, Oceanic Fairy, Certificate of Overlord, and Commander-in-Chief Certificate. These 4 items are not trad-able so you will have to purchase/acquire them yourself.
Here is the item mall page where you will find the above 4 items:http://vc.igg.com/mall/item.php?item_type=1&p=2
here is where you can trade Item Mall Credits for these items: http://vc.igg.com/mall/exchange_item.php?item_type=1&p=2.
There is a chance at getting these 4 drill-able items in the High level lucky egg: http://vc.igg.com/mall/lucky_egg.php and the Crazy Egg: http://vc.igg.com/mall/crazy_egg.php
This is what the Certificate of Overlord and Commander-in-Chief Certificate looks like in game:
When drilled, if you mouse over it it looks like this (sorry only have the one):
I believe Thalassocrat, Oceanic Fairy look like the regular shark and dolphin charms, they just have stats:

*Note 1) this picture is from before the non trad-able days but was the only one I could find.
*Note 2) It is my understanding that the Thalassocrat also has 10 increased square sail propulsion that is not noted in the item mall description (see this post: http://forum.vc.igg.com/viewthread.php?tid=44070&page=2 plus, picture and link above).
Drilling Items (Ship Modifiers)
In theory Ship modifiers come in 5 levels (Though I have only seen level 1, 2 & 3 in game).
The Item mall only sells level 1 ship modifiers.
You can get levels 1, 2, or 3 ship modifiers in the Crazy egg: http://vc.igg.com/mall/crazy_egg.php .
And, level 4 ship modifier may be given as a prize on the "points Fortune Wheel" http://vc.igg.com/event/wheel/index.php.
Item mall purchase icon.
But this is what Ship modifiers look like in game: (Note; the number indicates the number of modifiers you are holding not the level.... all levels look the same).
Using the Drilling and Embedding Items
Each level (like the "basic stone") will drill that level with 100 % accuracy. So a level 3 ship modifier will drill the 3rd hole with 100% accuracy. It will also drill holes 1 or 2 with 100% accuracy - but would be a waste of money.
A level 3 ship modifier will drill hole #4 but will fail (I'd guess 30% success rate or less). The same with level 2 ship modifiers, they will drill a 3rd, 4th or 5th hole... or level 1 ship modifiers - will drill 2nd, 3rd,4th or 5th hole...but you will have many failures.
To make the ship modifier drill a hole:
click the modifier then click the item you wish to drill. (right or left click depends on how you have your mouse set/game controls in game)
Once a hole is drilled, to place an item in the hole:
click the item to be embedded then click the drilled Item. (again, right or left click depends on how you have your mouse set/game controls in game)
In game prices vary from server to server. And with time, the supply and demand fluctuates.
Do a search in Seville to determine current prices on your server.
