I do not know what IP the below number is tracing to... it is not an IGG or skyunion IP
please use the following IP's when tracing lag.
Also realize that 1 or 4 pings are not enough information... and you NEED to use a program that will show you all hops in between the first and last stop.

In the past Fok suggested everyone use the first MMP IP so that we were tracing to the same place and could actually compare numbers.

suggested IP address to use when tracing: 192.243.47.66

In order to gather some information for FoK about the constant lag problems, I suggest everyone open CommandPrompt (or alternative for other operating systems) and run  "ping 172.107.224.126"

This should give u a screen looking like this :

With your results please mention do you experience any lag, lag spikes or constant lag.

For me with this average of 181ms delay I dont have any lag ingame.

First off we know that the internet connection is only about 20-30 % of the problem.... overseas people may experience more internet lag because it is legal in the USA to put a priority to paying customers first.

Also you need to keep in mind... school building attendance has been canceled until next fall...
HOWEVER all kids are now doing classes online.

as for lag testing:
A regular ping is no good - not enough info.

If you really want to make a report to support you need to do what we did in the past.

Please refer to the guide:
How to check your internet connection for lag, dropped packages, & path
the server IP addresses used for testing are listed in this guide.
(no idea what address you ping-ed... it is in North America but can't tell where, definitely not the servers in California)

The program IGG had us use in the past: WinMTR is not working correctly anymore...
there is probably some way to fix it but that's too much work...

I still have ping plotter and use that. - and make sure to check so that all data shows
but be aware this is not IGG designated program to use to report with... personally I think there is too much English used in the program, and they can't understand it.

I have a terrible connection but I just found out that my internet provider went bankrupt and was sold so they are having multiple difficulties getting anyone a good connection as the company that now owns this area did not buy their non local lines... so now i have way more hops and...
well I will not be able to use my connection for meaningful game lag comparison for quite some time.

ps. you will see 100% packet loss at the 2nd to last hop - that is NORMAL

ps here is mine for comparison.... it looks a lot better than it did 2 days ago...my new provider grrrrr

I found this picture which shows the MAJOR internet infrastructure...
if you have ever wondered just where your signal has to travel.. this will give you an idea.

so here is "proof" it is probably something in the programming...

i am running 2 clients in windowed mode both are at sea sailing in Atlantic but to different spots.

The top (yellow) is actually my main (healer)... but the other is my 2nd most used (hitter).

so as I have said before its probably not the internet.

and yes I have a bit worse connection than I use to have,
but using Ping Plotter to trace after taking this picture to MMP servers showed 30 ms lag average.... 40 ms lag at most.
