I am sure hopeing we haven't been lied to about server mergers, DeGamma with ZangHe and Columbus with MMP. It there are to take place looking forward to the New Year.
Where exactly have you heard that?
We have only 1 official news page and this official forum....NEITHER has said anything about merge not since the last merge in 2011.
As I have always said it is more likely they would just close a server... there would be too many problems with colonies, owned cities, and character names and LAG.
But there has been no talk of that either.
DSOFA did do a survey a month or so ago... but unless he was talking behind closed doors with someone (which I doubt) all the post/survey was for, was a way for all players to see the pros and cons of the idea...
There is probably a server merge thread made every 3 or 4 months by someone.
oh and if you read Funofkings reply in #27 (the only IGG Employee we have here)
"there r some bugs in merge server tool."
and he doesn't say anything about trying to EVER fix them.
Here is the link to the thread:
Player thoughts on server merge, should some servers be merged?
We have had 2 server merges
James Cook & DaGamma Server on May 23, 2007
Magellan & Marco Polo on April 18, 2011
AS FOK has stated the SERVER MERGE tool/program is BROKEN.
At least 30 plus other things are also broken or bugged... and we have a list going in the Moderator section of the forums... which just seems to get ignored.

There are few problems with that idea.
1. Fok said something wrong with merge server tool so it might cause more problems and bugs and then everyone would complain again and blame them why they did it.
2. You would see many players leave because atm mmp is pvp server others are mostly pve and some players prefer to have peace on their server not that drama from mmp
3. In addition to 2nd thing, every merge part of players left, and also some players don't care about colonies but some players don't wanna lose their colonies and cities
4. There would be waay too much lag on that one server, events like crete already have lags now as it is, now imagine all players on same server what kind of lag would that be in crete.
If they ever fix merge tool and most players from 2 servers agree on merge then yes why not, but with this low population in game losing even more players is not good and that's what merge always does unless it's what most people want.
