I seem to of encountered a strange issue while trying to run VCO.

Whenever I move my mouse, my FPS drops to 0. This is anywhere in the game where the ink quill is visible (server selection menu included), if I press and hold the right mouse (to rotate the camera) my FPS rate is fine.

I get 300+ FPS on the server selection menu before moving my mouse.

System Spec;
CPU: i5 3570K @4.2Ghz
GPU: ATI 6950 (unlocked to 6970) 2GB
Memory: 16GB's at 1600Mhz
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Mouse: Logitech G700

All temperatures are fine, so no overheating issues.

ATI drivers are 13.11 Beta 9

Attempted fixes;

Updated ATI drivers.
Updated Logitech driver.
Reduced mouse poll rate from 1000 to 125.
Set core.exe affinity to one core.
Started voyage in a virtual OS (Win 7 64bit)
Disabled HD4000 display (Intel onboard GPU)
Force vSync, anti aliasing & anisotropic through ATI control panel.
Confirmed directX is up-to-date.
Changed Win 7 theme off Aero and to basic.
Checked for stij.exe, not found.
Running the game in windowed and fullscreen.
Different resolutions.

Mouse not moving has a CPU usage of 20%, GPU 30%.
Move the mouse and the CPU goes to 25% (single core bottleneck?), GPU goes to 0%.
Forcing vSync has no effect. FPS still goes to 300+
As soon as the mouse stops moving, the FPS jumps back to 300+.

I used the play this game back when the best gear you could get was classed as ranked noble, and you spent endless hours running from wolf lords :) I never had issues then with a much weaker system.

Is this a known issue with ATI drivers or my card in general?

Try changing out the drivers to a stable build, those beta's might be causing the problem, unless you need them to play another game. I have an AMD card and it runs just fine with 13.4 drivers.

Right on. I tried 13.9 (stable) and kept the same problem, took the driver down to 13.4... and it works perfectly.

Thanks for the help.
