The Hunting Event

When is the Hunting Event?
Despite published hours by IGG as of March 3, 2012....
The Actual hunt time Every Friday is;
9:00 PM - 12:00 PM (2100 hrs - 0000 hrs)  EDT (Day Light Savings time: March - October)
8:00 PM - 11:00 PM (2000 hrs - 2300 hrs)  EST (Standard Time: October - March)
..... yes it lasts 3 hours!!

The Actual hunt time every Sunday is;
9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (0900 hrs - 1100 hrs)  EDT (Day Light Savings time: March - October)
8:00 AM - 10:00 AM (0800 hrs - 1000 hrs)  EST (Standard Time: October - March)
... only 2 hours


What is the Hunting Event?
The hunting event is a special instance that is accesable and shared by everyone in the game at once. You enter an area based on your Barehand lvl (Discussed later) which is shared by all players of the same lvl as you. You kill the mobs in your area trying to get drops like Evidence of Hunt (EOH) from them. The EOH can be taken to npcs and traded for different ingame items (replies 4 and 5).
Also while in the hunting event every 10 seconds you are given automatically 10k xp for a weapon of your choice, explained below.

NOTE: You do not need a team to enter the hunting event, however you can team up with people if you wish

How Do I Enter the Hunting Event?
You go to a city with a Combat Event NPC and click him, he will give 3 options for areas to enter: The Pyramid, Goree Dungeon and Stockholm Pirates (Details later).
You can only enter the area appropriate for your current barehand lvl. Once you selcet the correct area for your lvl it will bring up a list of weapons you can choose to gain xp for.
Falchion, Sword, Axe, Gun or straight Barehand xp
Once you choose which to get xp for you are teleported into the instance arena

You said Instance Arena.... Does that mean there is PvP in there?
No, there is no pvp in the hunt arena. But it is a unique place and can only really be described as a "instance arena"
Its an instance in the fact that you are teleported to another place that is a copy of somewhere already existing in the game that is reserved for combat. However in there the mobs respawn like in normal places in the game, just as if you went to Goree Dungeon to train.
But its also like an arena in the fact that the place is shared by many players, not just those on a single team like normal instances.
So instance arena is the best way i can describe it, you will get it once you go in there.

What can I get while in the Hunt?
The mobs in the hunt can drop several things, and with this new update possibly more, we will have to see.
The main drops however are, map pieces, EOH, Money, And Various Timed Gear
Rarer Drops Include: Noble Jewlery, Skill Jewelry (Fighting, Defense, Magical Defense, etc)

There are timed uniforms, hats and weapons that can drop from the mobs. Most of these are very powerful and can be useful, however they only have a life of 3 or 5 mins, so be careful or you could all the sudden be naked if the drop uniform disappears lol.


Where are the Combat Event Teleporter NPCs that I use to Enter the Hunt?
There are several cities all around the map that have the teleport npc

What are the Mobs in the Hunt Like? Especially compared to the normal ones...
Much Harder for short
The mobs look exactly the same as their normal game counterparts; ie the mummies in the pyramid map are exactly the same in appearance as the ones if you ran to the pyramid.
However all the mobs are given a healthy amount of steroids and are in mid riod-rage. Think somewhere in the order of 5x harder than the normal game mobs.
However on the test server i didnt notice any increase in difficulty in the mobs from what they were in the pre profession game. So our profession gear is more than adequate.
With one Exception: The Level Boss
And each map has a boss that spawns in a certain area, the boss is many times harder than the other mobs in that arena.
On the test server i was given partially maxed 150 gear and i was unable to solo the boss on the Pirates lvl.
But the normal mobs were a piece of cake even when using my normal 115-130 gear mix.


What are the 3 Areas and Their Requirements?
Will double check these once the hunt opens

Lowest Level - Pyramid
Requirements: Barehand Level 1-60
Location Based on: Top level of the Pyramid in Alexandria
Mobs: Mummies
Boss: Anubis

Medium Level - Goree Dungeon
Requirements: Barehand Level 61-97
Location Based on: Goree Island Dungeon Accessed through Dakar Guard
Mobs: Slave Mongers
Boss: Viscous Alchemist

Highest Level - Pirates
Requirements: Barehand Level 98-120
Location Based on: Stockholm Suburb
Mobs: Pirates
Boss: Harold
